  • Details of Hire & Payment

    The process for hiring is very simple, once you have made a booking we require a £100 refundable deposit, this can be paid by paypal, cheque or direct bank transfer. We will then arrange the fitting with you, we will take the rental fee at the point of fitting. We will require to see your driving license and a household bill for your home address dated within the last 3 months. We will give you instruction for use of the equipment and also provide you with a security device to use whilst it is in your possession. In the case of our trailers, you will need to supply and fit a registration plate bearing your vehicle details.

    In the event of cancellation we will retain an amount of your £100 deposit to cover expenses and lost rental fees :-

    Over 2 weeks notice – Full refund given

    Less than 2 weeks notice – 50% of your rental fee retained

    Less than 72hrs notice – Full rental fee retained.

    Example Rental Agreement:

    We will require a signed rental agreement, you are required to fully understand and sign it before we release the item to you. The wording of the agreement is as follows:-

    Terms and Conditions

    When hiring this item you enter a legally binding contract. You are responsible for the safety of the item and its use on the highway. You will be given instructions and guidance for safely attaching this to your vehicle and it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that this is always carried out safely. Leisure Trailer Hire accept no responsibility for misuse or accidents involving this equipment during the hire period. Any damage to third parties or the equipment is to be paid in full by the hirer. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that your vehicle insurance covers the use of this equipment. The hirer is responsible for the security of the item during the rental period, any loss due to theft must be paid in full (at market value), a security device (where applicable) will be provided with the hire.

    Additional Information – The equipment rental is for the period specified above, failure to return the equipment on the day specified will incur additional daily rental charges.

    In the case of trailer rental, you must ensure that the trailer displays the correct registration number that corresponds with the vehicle towing it.

    You must ensure that your vehicles towing electrics are fully functioning, our trailers electrics will be fully tested prior to the hire period.
